Stemming from 1805, Humber Valley Village was originally laid-out in farm lots and then purchased by Etobicoke's early land owners. The primary period of development was during the 1930s to 1960, remaining as popular now as it was then. In the south of the area, there have been some more recent high-density development taking place along Royal York.
