Streetsville is a neighbourhood within the City of Mississauga. Streetsville has maintained its rural charm despite the urban encroachment on its doorstep. Queen Street S. is the main road, lined with historical houses dating back to the 1800s. These heritage homes are now largely occupied by small businesses. Streetsville's old houses, churches, cemetery, the Reid Mill and the train tracks, all add to the aura of this quaint village within a city. Streetsville is bordered by the railway and Go Train service to the south and the beautiful Credit River valley to the north.

Streetsville has over 300 shops and services and many fine restaurants. The Streetsville Business Improvement Association maintains an ongoing beautification and maintenance of the shopping village to ensure a first class shopping experience. The BIA hosts a number of year-round events and promotions which draw many shoppers to this vibrant village shopping district.

Streetsville has a large selection of elementary and secondary schools within the neighbourhood. Streetsville is also in close proximity to University of Toronto-Mississauga campus located in Erin Mills.Transit
Streetsville Go Station connects this area of Mississauga to downtown Toronto's Union Station.
Parks & Recreation
Streetsville Memorial Park runs along the Credit River. The park has a swimming pool, soccer field and softball diamond available for public use. The pedestrian trail along the river is the perfect location for a stroll. The Vic Johnston Community Centre has been a crucial element in Streetsville's recreational sports by hosting hockey, skating and community events for over five decades. The community centre is now recently renovated and now is home to the Streetsville Hockey League. This community centre is also the home of the The Hazel McCallion Hall which hosts an assortment of community events from: Banquets, Wedding Receptions, Engagement Parties, Dances, Meetings and Trade Shows. During the first weekend of June, Streetsville hosts and annual Bread and Honey Festival including live performances, carnival rides, games and food all residents.History
Streetsville originally operated Mills on the Credit River and become a key industry in Streetsville's prominence. When the local post office was opened in 1829 it adopted the Streetsville name in honour of its founding father Timothy Street. Industry continued to prosper in Streetsville through the early 1800s culminating in Streetsville's official incorporation as a village in 1859, followed by its incorporation as a town in 1862. By the 1900s after the railway was built, Streetsville had taken on a new identity as a tight knit rural community fuelled by small businesses and was no longer a mill town. In 1974, Streetsville amalgamated with neighbouring municipalities to form the City of Mississauga. Streetsville is now one of the most historical neighbourhoods in Mississauga and has the largest concentration of historic buildings.
