Highway 401 is also accessible from Bayview Avenue while the Don Valley Parkway is accessible from Lawrence Avenue. Local bus service connecting to the subway stations in Lawrence Avenue and Davisville allow commuters to connect to the Yonge-University-Spadina subway line.

Edwards Gardens is located in the southeast section of the neighbourhood. The Toronto Botanical Garden, a premiere garden resource centre is part of Edwards Garden. In addition, a nine kilometer hiking trail that spans the Don River Valley to Scarborough’s Warden Woods Park begins in this park. A notable place in this area is Sunnybrook Park. In the late 1800s, this propery was farmed by Joseph Kilgour. After Kilgour died, his wife Alice donated the 154-hectare country estate to the city in 1928 to be used as a park. The Kilgour barns were preserved and now serve as a public riding school.
